BG REPORTER
Julia Farmer will be hosting an intimate session this Saturday with those who wish to get pearls of wisdom on how one can grow happiness. The event will be held at Zorro Restaurant at the Notwane Equestrian Centre.
Highlights of the event will include an afternoon of relaxation at the pristine centre, inspiration and of course, food and some bubbly. Guests will be gifted with Farmer’s book, titled Growing Pains, which was recently published, as well as some other treats.
Going by the pen name, Lilibet Rain, her book is doing very well in the market. The book is based on some of the hurdles that she met in her journey of life ten years ago. One of those challenges happens to be the loss of her beloved daughter, Fifi. In 2012. Fifi Mmolawa, was found murdered in South Africa, and it would emerge that her ex- fiancé was the culprit. Farmer started writing the book in 2017, but it was completed during the Covid- 19 pandemic, when there was a lot of loss around the world. Farmer is a teacher, and business woman. She has written over 20 Home Economics and Art books, and continues to regularly write on topics such as Organic Gardening in local and digital magazines. So, if there is one subject that the organic farmer who runs Kingfisher Farm, located at Notwane knows very well, is Growing happiness amidst the curve ball that life can throw at you.
Speaking in an interview with this publication, she explains that she will also share the three keys to Happiness at the event. These keys, she says, include, Choosing Happiness, learning to love yourself, as well as Connecting with nature.
She further says that the event is a teaser about a webinar that she will be hosting in June.
“The event will be a motivational talk on finding happiness. It will not be a long boring session,” she explains, noting that she wants her guests to find the key to happiness in their lives.
She further says she wants her guests to have a happy heart despite what they might be going through such as loss of a loved one and many other challenges. “There is one guest who recently lost her husband, and then there are others who are going through healing and are yet to find the door to happiness,” says Farmer.
