City Lights event recently introduced Kagiso De Klerk, Hey Nyena, Phly Honey and T.H.A.B.O as the hosts of their inaugural event.
The event scheduled for December 31st and meant to in the new year is designed with an interesting twist. Event organizer, Gilbert Seagile better known as PP of Gilbert Promotions told Vibe that this event was created with an exceptional mission to revive a city night event like no other. The event comes as a rebound and an opportunity to entertain event international guests who usually find themselves in the city of Gaborone during New Year’s Eve.
PP shared with Vibe that usually the city looks dull during this time of the year as people travel to their home villages where bigger events and shows are held. This year, he wanted a difference and to make something unique for people who usually do not travel and those visiting. The event was endorsed by the city mayor, Austin Abraham, as well as Gaborone MPs who applauded the efforts behind it.
Member of Parliament for Gaborone Bennington North, Anna Mokgethi and Gaborone North Constituency Member of Parliament, Mpho Balopi, who were present at the launch of the event, noted that indeed the event could bring light to the city, especially that it is meant to keep the city alive during new year’s festivities.
The event is highlighted in a radio show on RB 2 every Wednesday to inform people about its potential. Organisers have also partnered with Btv. This means that the event will be broadcast for people to watch. They have also recently introduced ‘CITY LIGHTS Whiskey, wine and fire lounge’ for their prestige group.
