Government has extended the import restriction on horticulture commodities for another two years. According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Agriculture this week, import restrictions have been extended to December 2025.

“The scope of the restriction has been increased to cover the following additional products: patty pan, pumpkins, sweet potato, green peas, sweet corn, broccoli,, cauliflower, gem squash, baby marrow, green beans, sweet melon, mushroom, calabash, spanspeck (cantaloque), Eggplant and Okra,” said Chief Public Relations Officer at Ministry of Agriculture, Moreri Moesi.
