BOTSWANA’S TRANSFORMATION DISCUSSED

Botswana Educational Research Association recently held a symposium at the University of Botswana aimed at addressing Botswana’s transformation agenda by propagating ways of transiting Botswana into a high-income economy. The main aim of the symposium was to create a platform for researchers, policy makers and relevant stakeholders in the field of education to discuss issues, exchange ideas and views towards transforming Botswana’s education so that it can better serve the knowledge society. The objectives of the symposium were to, analyse current issues and challenges facing Botswana’s education system and determine ways for revolutionising it, discuss the opportunities and the value propositions a revolutionised education system presents for a developing economy and to provide a platform to exchange ideas and practices and the creation of new ideas to revolutionise the Botswana education system.

GFWE HOSTS WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS

Global Forum of Women Entrepreneurs (GFWE) will launch the Botswana Chapter this weekend at Cresta Lodge. GFWE was founded to respond to the need to cultivate, develop and enhance the entrepreneurial mindset of women across the globe. In its short time of existence, it has established presence in a number of nations around the world, including USA, UK and a number of African nations; South Africa, Malawi, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Eswatini. GFWE is a global network that believes that when women are properly groomed and included in the areas of investment, trade and finance, they will be an asset for the good of all.

BOITEKANELO COLLEGE DONATES TO ATHLONE

Athlone Hospital in Lobatse is scheduled to receive five wheelchairs, and five drip stands from Boitekanelo College this Thursday. Boitekanelo is a leading privately owned healthcare institution of higher learning in Botswana with over 16 years in the industry. Their mandate is to offer industry-driven healthcare training and education in response to the ever-growing demand for well-trained and skilled health professionals across Botswana. Their programmes range from certificates to degrees. They also offer flexible-learning opportunities through block release programmes through flexible payment plans as well. The College is also Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA) and Botswana Bureau of Standards BOBS Certified.
