The Ministry of Health has launched the Intermediate level of the Field Epidemiology Programme following the successful launch and subsequent graduation of several cohorts of the Frontline Field Epidemiology programme in the past months. This will be a first for Botswana and a huge milestone in the training of healthcare workers in Botswana in the field of epidemiology. The Intermediate level training helps capacitate health care workers with skills to be able to respond to current and future public health challenges and emergencies.
