The Department of Road Transport Services (DRTS) invites applications for temporary permits for the coming Festive Season Public Holidays. Public Operators interested in providing additional service on long routes are advised to submit their applications at their respective DRTS offices. The Department will accept applications for Temporary Permits from December 4 to December 18, 2023. According to an advisory from the DRTS, temporary permits issued for the holidays will be valid for December 22, 23, 26, 29, 30, 2023 and on January 2, 2024.

ABSA Bank Botswana will this Friday hand over 50 laptops to Destination Imagination Botswana. ABSA has taken steps to support the work that Destination Imagination has been doing in Botswana to promote digital literacy among children and youth. The laptops are meant to provide opportunities for students to develop their knowledge and competencies in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). In honour of ABSA’s drive for Climate Change, they are also donating Fruit Trees to Destination Imagination and will lead a tree planting session as part of the day’s programme.
