Fairground Holdings is awaiting finalisation and implementation of a master plan by the Special Economic Zones Authority for its 33 hectare plot in Gaborone. In a statement this week, the stateowned facilities group said the plot of land, located in Fairgrounds Park, had been designated as a Special Economic Zone for mixed use development. The designated area is centred around a design philosophy that encompasses a Live, Work and Play concept. Officials said the group has received a number of enquiries from those interested in leasing and acquiring certain parts of the land. However, no lease proposals or partnerships can be accepted until the master plan is finalised and implemented, the group said.
