Investigations are underway in Tlokweng after a man was found dead and decomposed in his rented house in Masetlheng ward.

The police have revealed that they received a report on Saturday evening. They suspect that the incident might have occurred days before given the decomposition state of his body.

Tlokweng Police Station Commander, Superintendent Unoziba Rari said even though they do not know what transpired, they do not suspect foul play. Investigations into the matter are ongoing to establish the cause of death.

“The deceased was staying alone in his rented house. His landlord said he had told him that he was a Kanye native hence still trying to locate his family members. I am pleading with members of the public, especially residents of Kanye village who had not communicated with one of their relatives in recent days to contact us,” Rari said.
