Former Zebras attacker, Mogakolodi ‘Tsotso’ Ngele has scored his first brace in the Botswana Premier League (BPL) since his return from South Africa. The left footed midfielder scored a goal in each half to help Township Rollers get back to winning ways on Saturday against Lobatse giants, Extension Gunners.

The mouthwatering encounter produced a total of four goals. The game started on a high tempo with both sides going all out at each other. Gunners were the first to get close to breaking the deadlock in the game after a well-built attack which saw their striker Kobamelo Kebaikanye having to cut into the box and hit a snap shot forcing Rollers goalkeeper, Bophelo Kealeboga to make a brilliant save. Soon after that, Rollers launched a counter attack and Denver Meyer delivered an exquisite cross inside the box but Terdius ‘Terry’ Uiseb headed wide.

Peleng Giants looked to be the more dangerous side, with Rollers battling to contain them especially on the left side. Rollers were only still alive in the game thanks to their goalkeeper Kealeboga who continued on putting on a show with some fine saves on the day.

Gunners flow and rhythm into the game were soon cut short when Rollers broke on attack once more which saw goalkeeper, Keeagile Kgosipula having to face Ngele one-on-one and had no choice but to bring him down outside the box. Kgosipula received a straight red card from the incident as he was adjudged to have denied Ngele a goalscoring opportunity. The red card disrupted Gunners’ whole plan in the game and they had to make a forced substitution to get another goalkeeper, Thabo Masule in. Ngele put Rollers in front from the freekick with Masule only getting a touch through fingertips. The goal separated the two sides at halftime. When the two sides got back from the break, Rollers appeared to have an upper hand with Gunners now one man down. Segolame Boy found the back of the net to put his side 2-0 up after Gunners failed to make decisive clearance in the box. Rollers found the back of the net once more courtesy of Tsotso Ngele with a stunning shot from outside the box.

Gunners soon after responded after Ngele’s goal, with Vissagie scoring a cracker from outside the box which hit the beneath crossbar and went in but Rollers held onto the lead to return back to winning ways.
