SESAMEGEE ENTERTAINMENT COMES TO LIFE

Sesame Baingapi-Khofi, better known as Sesame envisions sharing her talent both locally and internationally.

She started singing when she was a young girl. “I started singing dikwaere at a very young age and this is what motivated me to keep the momentum and find my real genre of music as time went by,” she explained.

Her name rings the bell to many as she was in the top 18 in the My Star Talent Show in 2013. She says she started singing gospel music in 2014 when she gave her life to Jesus Christ. She is grateful for having chosen Gospel music and wishes to change lives through her music. Sesame is no ordinary artiste but holds multiple accolades including winning the female gospel newcomer award in 2019, finalist for best female gospel award 2019, and finalist for best new album at the annual gospel awards (AGA). She also shared the stage with other legendary and top artists including; South African gospel icon Omega, Psalmist Jimmy D (Nigerian gospel artist) and several other Batswana artists. Her first official release was in 2018 when she released her first album titled ‘Mohau’. “This album has been a blessing and it continues to transform many lives and drawing many people closer to God in worship and praise,” she shared.She also released an inspirational single dubbed ‘Merafe’ in 2020 which was recorded live at Grand Aria in October 2020. Just recently she dropped yet another single called ‘Conquer’ from her current album ‘Arenaya Mohau’, which is available on all online stores. Sesame has also started her own promotions company called SesameGee Entertainment (Pty)Ltd, which is based in

Gaborone. She told Vibe that through this entertainment company, she has already sponsored three single recording projects which were released and recorded live also at Grand Aria in October 2020 “The aim of the recordings was to empower the vocalists that work with Sesame so that they can be able to promote themselves and establish their own brands,” she explained. These projects are by artistes Michelle on the single song called ‘O Setshabelo’, Nono with the song titled’I am’ and Tsaone on hee single track called ‘Ntlhatswe’ meaning cleanse me.Sesame is preparing for the upcoming shows in which she will perform alongside other great gospel musicians. She will be part of the first annual Ikgalaletse Gospel Show to be held in August as well as The heart of worship event also in August and the Uniterrupted moments with the father show in September.
