Khama proves them wrong by taking advice
Hee wee hee wee Khama does not listen to anyone; hee wee hee wee Ian is not the type to advise! They lied about him. For the longest time we have been told The Former does not listen. His former cabinet ministers including Dow, have said it. His CoS, speaking to Bridget some years ago, said it. The current President has said it – gatwe Morwa Khama gaa gakololwe! Yet this past week he took advice from Mephato Reatile aka Reggie, who together with others went all the way to South Africa to talk him out of his plan to form a break-away party from the BPF. Magatwe a re some in the delegation told him it would be an own goal if he were to proceed with the new party as his detractors would use the matter against him. Gatwe they told him how Masisi would give this move as proof that he was never the problem when Khama left the BDP, but that Khama himself is power-hungry and does not want to be led. Remember the matter of Khama wanting to form a new party emanates from the case Biggie Butale won, that practically allowed him to prevail over Khama who wants to be the President of BPF. When Khama and company lost the case, they moved to start a new party to be called Botswana Liberation Party/Front. It was to be born in Selebi Phikwe this past weekend, hence the several resignations from BPF in recent weeks by those under Khama’s command. Nnyaa gatwe Morwa Khama acceded to what he was advised; he even praised Reggie for spearheading reconciliation in the BPF on Saturday via a telephone speech. It now remains to be seen what will happen to those who resigned now that the Liberation party is a still-born!
