Coach Malebye’s Holis

One woman’s passion for natural health has become a place to inspire and teach others how to take charge of their own wellness with joy and mindfulness. Holistic health coach Gomolemo Malebye draws from personal and professional experience to guide others

My desire to deal with conditions that affect the human eye started when I was doing my Tirelo Sechaba in Tshane. While there, I used to see eye care personnel coming all the way WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN OPTOMETRIST, OP CIAN AND OPHTHALMOLOGIST A

Please tell us about your coaching business: What services do you provide and how does it work? What does the “coaching” include?

My coaching practice aspires to inspire, encourage and empower our clients to take back their power and lead themselves to create lives that are fulfilling and nourishing for them in a holistic and wholesome way. The foundation of the practice is essentially life coaching though I decided to lean more into wellness coaching based on my experience as a health practitioner. I create safe spaces for clients to feel seen, valued, understood and empowered to live their best life in spite of their social class or past experiences. It is about lifting the veil, taking off the masks and stepping into their higher self. We all have magic with us but the traumas we encounter along the journey of life often lives us feeling beaten down, hopeless, fearful and often bitter, with coaching you can reclaim your power and start magnetising to yourself the relationships you desire, the wealth and freedom and a sense of being in control on your life, owning up to your mistakes and embracing the wonderful human being you were designed to be.

For now the coaching is primarily on one on one basis but we do offer wellness retreats for groups and corporate.

How does a consultation session with you look like?

A consultation session first of all includes finding out what the client needs, determining if they are an energetic match for my services and the depth of their issues because some people may need psychotherapy before diving into coaching in which i now have to refer to the relevant people for the best outcome. We then proceed to contracting, setting boundaries and expectations. All work is done professionally and confidentiality is maintained throughout. Sessions are tailor made uniquely for each client for best outcomes.

Where are you based? Do you typically work in person or is your work amenable to virtual coaching?

I am currently working from home based in Ramotswa which means majority of the sessions are conducted virtually but there is always a room for in person meetings depending on different factors between the coach and coachee.

Who is your ideal client?

My business caters mostly for women because I can identify most with their struggles and can use my experience to assist them in most cases ,I have however worked with men too. I enjoy working with moms to empower them with tools to navigate the burden of motherhood and ensure they bring a bit of balance and joy to their families without neglecting themselves. I help women to really step out of their self limiting beliefs and become who they desire to be, defy the odds of what society has confined them to be.

Women are the pioneers and the front runners in most families therefore when a woman heals and reclaims their personal power, generational patterns are broken, healthy families and communities are built.

What problem does your business solve?

It helps people connect with their most authentic selves, overcome mental health issues and contribute meaningfully to whatever causes they feel drawn to. I help women lean into their feminine energies without feeling like weaklings.

Through the use of natural medicine ,clients are empowered to take care of themselves at the comfort of their own homes to prevent frequent hospital visits and the lessen the toxic load of pharmaceutical drugs. Natural medicine can include the use of aromatherapy(essential oils),massages, breath work exercises, joyful movement, herbal baths and dietary plans best suited for the different issues clients may present with.

My business is centred around addressing health issues from the root cause because through my experience in the medical field many issues that clients presents with at the clinic can be solved simply by talking and providing guidance rather than prescribing a drug. People are searching for meaning and safe spaces to breath and be heard and coaching provides that environment and most importantly it empowers one to take personal responsibility.

What do you find the most challenging about the work that you do?

The most challenging thing about this work is getting people to understand the importance of this work and getting compensated for our services. People don’t usually value and appreciate all the investment of time, energy and resources you had to encounter to get to this point. The other challenge is that many people still believe in the traditional way of doing things meaning that you are most likely not taken seriously because you don’t wake up to go to a physical structure called an office.

And the most rewarding?

The most rewarding is the transformation of lives, there is no greater joy of seeing people change and reclaim their personal power and live an abundant blissful life. The other most rewarding thing is the freedom and control over my schedule, income and time. I love that I can work from any place in the world as long as i have technology get to spend time with the people I love and spend my energy in the things that matters the most to me. It’s very liberating.

What has been the biggest learning curve in your business?

The biggest learning curve for me has been sticking to my convictions and building a business model that looks different from what I common. I have also learnt to hold myself accountable as one can easily slip into complacency and wanting to do things as others have done them before just to fit in.
