RoyAlle drops banger EP dubbed ‘Feels’

BY IRENE SHONE

Pearl Benifield aka RoyAlle seem to be ready for the music game, as she recently dropped her EP, shortly after the release of her debut single ’In My Feels.’

Her newly released EP is called FEELS and is comprised of five songs, namely; ‘Africa’, ‘No Regrets’, ‘Find You’ , ‘Get Up’ and ‘In My feels.’ The jam packed EP has already gained its momentum as people dance well to it, during her live performances. The songbird is genre diverse and says she makes sure that she gives variety to her listeners. This EP comprises of RnB, Pop, House and Piano genres, she told Vibe. “I am not genre specified because I am a lover of music and still trying to explore my best genre. I listen to what is good music, and I also want to deliver the same to my listeners,” she said. The people’s favourite song from this EP is ‘Africa’. “Africa is about us a people of the black continent. It just emphasises that, regardless of race and status we are one Africa. It also gives a glimpse of how Africans are nurtured into being as culturally proud as we are,” she says reiterating that, ,it is a beautiful come together type of anthem. I have always been a Disney fan, so in writing the song I pictured a whole Disney animation on an African perspective,” she said

The second most loved songs are No regrets and Find you, which she refers to, as ‘the lovey dovey songs’ as they are in RnB genre. She told Vibe that she did the songs with strong emotion and relevance. She has once again worked with MVB Beatz for production and mastering of this EP. With only two months in the game, she has been able to put her name out there as she has performed at a few events in Maun where she is currently based, as well as getting her music play on local radio stations.

“I have not been booked for big events outside Maun yet, and hoping to get exposure with time and also be recognised internationally,” she said.

RoyAlle has performed at the Maun Fashion show of all nations, Mambo Ntema’ s launch and this past weekend she performed at the International Maun Arts Festival, alongside a few local artist and some from outer BW. She said the Maun International Arts Festival has so far been the greatest event she has performed at. She added that she is absolutely ready to pour her talent and thereby releasing new music, every chance she gets.
