Beyond The Decor Events & Cakes serves Yummy, fluffy taste

Dintle Moatswi of ‘Beyond the Décor Events & Cakes ‘ says the art of confectionery isn’t necessarily about good-looking products but tasty and appetising end products.

She tells Vibe that the secret behind her yummy sweet treats is the fact that, they are fluffy, moist and enhanced flavour. “I have always been a baker and a cook at heart but have never wanted to compromise, when delivering. So I took my time to learn basic skills and started operating during lockdown period,” she says emphasizing that she had all the time to explore the world of baking using different recipes. The Maun based baker, shares that her observation is that with baking, consistency is essential, and so she is always looking out for opportunities to improve her skills. “I am also a product of weekend training that took place last year in July and ever since then I never looked back. The training exposed me to perfect skills of baking and how to operate my business in a unique manner,” she said. Her freshly baked products include; Fruit cake, sponge cake, muffins, scones and biscuits. Moatswi reiterates that anyone can bake but for her, “If it’s not fluffy and moist, I do not rate it because the dough world has to provoke that freshness in terms of the final result that is perfect with that enhanced flavour,” she said. She is happy about the feedback that she receives so far and shares that her clients always recommend her for birthday cakes, showers and anniversaries. She thus works with individuals and companies to offer her lovely customized cakes per event. Easter holidays and festive season are the busiest times on her calendar as people always feed their sweet tooth cravings around this time of merry celebrations. She looks forward to opening a bakery and baking all sorts of bakery and confectionery products and also offer lessons to those who want to sharpen their baking skills.
