BOMAID, SIDILEGA BURY THE HATCHET
BY SUN REPORTER
Mutual dialogue between Botswana Medical Aid Society (BOMAID) and Sidilega Private Hospital has yielded positive outcome. The two companies have announced the resumption of services on credit to Bomaid Members at Sidilega, through a public relations firm, Hotwire PRC.
“All efforts to date to ensure resolution have been anchored by a mutual desire to always bring support, convenience, and dependability for members and patient’s healthcare needs.
With this unwavering principle at heart, both organisations recognise that to ensure no reoccurrence in the future of the challenges faced, a more long-term and sustainable approach is needed,” said a statement issued this week.
The statement further emphasized that
BOMAID and Sidilega are committed, and engagements on the latest development will continue.
In October, Sidilega suspended services to BOMAID members indefinitely, demanding cash payments, making it mandatory for the members to claim directly from the medical aid company.
According to Sidelega, the decision was taken due to serious business disruption between the two entities, resulting in financial risk for the hospital.
