GOITSEMODIMO KAELO Staff Writer

The annual Okavango Music Feast will make a return for its sixth edition this festive period, with activities set to be held in two fold this time from December 24-25, 2022.

The event organiser, Kebadile Wasenda said the event will commence with a Pre-Party Picnic and Beach Volleyball at Okavango River Bridge.

She explained that the idea of this session is to sell the bridge and reviving sport especially volleyball in an effort to transform lives in the Okavango area.

“So the 24th is gonna be boat cruise, mokoro drive, games, cocktails just by the beach side of the Okavango river and the bridge. The event is open to the public. All they have to do is to donate P5 to be part of the beach volleyball,” she said.

Wasenda said all the proceeds will be donated to five selected families in Mohembo West.

For this first part of the event, DJ Rasbanda (Rb2) will entertain patrons on the turntables while Benediction 007 and Pricillah BW will be the hosts.

Wasenda said the main event will take place on Christmas Day. Just like the first part, Wasenda stated that the main session also has the charity aspect.

Namibian artist, One Blood headlines this year’s event and

will perform alongside DJ Guyvos, DJ Rasbanda,

Yannick Disho, Mactyro, DJ KSB, Ray D Spear, Lopza & Wetu Musica, Tumza & The Big Bullet and DJ Latribal.

“Like I said, both of these are charitable events with the motto of unleashing talent and transforming lives in the Okavango delta and selling the area. We want people to come to Botswana and experience the beauty of the Okavango Delta. We hope we will have sponsors coming on board,” she added.

Tickets for this session sell for P150 standard, P250 double and P500 VIP.
