Masisi at US-Africa Summit
President Mokgweetsi Masisi will join more than 40 other African heads of state in Washington D.C this week for the US-Africa Leaders’ Summit, a key trade, economic and social engagement between the two sides. The meeting, scheduled to run between December 13 and 15, is the second of its kind since the 2014 Summit hosted for former US president, Barak Obama. President Joseph Biden has selected African leaders to engage on issues of governance, food security, economic engagement and other common areas such as climate change and the digital economy. Masisi will be accompanied by the ministers of Foreign Affairs, Agriculture and Trade, as well as senior government officials.
