Newly promoted First Division North league side, Mbalakalungu will be hoping to retain their lead at the summit when they travel to Mahalapye for a date with another rookie, Rolling Guys. The two sides, who go into the match on the backdrop of contrasting situations, are set to lock horns at the Mahalapye Secondary School ground.

Mbalakalungu are taking the league by storm after gaining promotion at the end of last season, leading the pack with 10 points from four matches ahead of tomorrow’s fixtures.

The Parakarungu-based side have so far won three matches and played to a stalemate once, conceding only one goal in the process. Rolling Guys on the other hand are yet to win a match in their maiden First Division North league appearance.

They have collected just two points from four matches and sit dangerously at position 11 early on in the season. Mbalakalungu’s position is threatened by Francistown-based side, Calendar Stars who are three points behind with a game in hand. Like the log leaders, Calendar Stars are yet to lose a match this season and have won two out

of three. They are yet to concede a goal this season, proving their stability from the back. Tomorrow, they welcome Mahalapye Railways Highlanders at Caledron ground. Highlanders have not found it easy after relegating from the Premier League last season. Out of four games so far, they are yet to win a match after playing four stalemates. They are

sitting in position six with four points.

Motlakase Power Dynamos appear to have found their mojo this season, breathing heavily on the necks of the log leaders. They take on Santa Green tomorrow, hoping to register their third win of the season. They sit in position two with eight points from four matches. Another former Premier

League side, TAFIC are third on the log with eight points and will take on Green Lovers tomorrow in Serowe.

Matjimenyenga, as TAFIC are popularly known, survived relegation to the regional leagues last season, dubbed the greatest escape when Eleven Angels gained promotion through the play-off. At the bottom, Miscellaneous are finding the going tough and host fifth-placed Chadibe FC. Miscellaneous sit at the bottom of the log with only one point from three games and have yet to score a goal this season.

Down south, log leaders Mochudi Centre Chiefs and second-placed Notwane face tricky encounters as the battle for the top spot continues tomorrow. At City Polar Stadium, Kgatleng will be divided into two when CRACKiT City Polar take on Magosi in what is expected to be a thrilling encounter.

Only two points separate the two sides ahead of tomorrow’s clash and a victory for City Polar will take them to 11 points. Chiefs, on the other hand, cannot afford to drop points with only a goal difference of two separating them and secondplaced Notwane.

Toronto host VTM at the SSG Grounds with the latter chasing their second win of the season. Meanwhile, URI Black Forest will return to the playing field on Sunday after a week off following the devastating news of the passing of their player, Joseph Raboso. All the matches kick off at 4pm.
